Sharps,Rolling block repros
I was looking at the Pedersoli web page and was liking both the sharps and the roller in 22 lr
Was wondering if anyone has shot them and what you thought of them.

They are reasonably good rifles. The Sharps particularly. I don't know what they are going for, but you might look for a used Shiloh or C Sharps or just pay a bit more for one of them. They will have much better resale and parts etc are going to be much much easier as well.

I have a Pedersoli Sharps, and I've been happy with it. I don't compare it to a Shilo, but it's half the price too.

A member of our f&g had what appeared to be an original rolling block in 22 lr. And I was think'n what a great rifle for squirrels, been checking them on the web ever since, thanks for the replies.

For the money the Italian repro's are very good.
Rifles from C. Sharps and CPA are excellent, but you will pay double.

I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Don't overlook the Winchester Low Wall copy made by Uberti and sold by Cimarron:

You can get them with straight or pistol grip, with or without double set triggers. I use mine for Smallbore Long Range Silhouette shooting, and it sure is a fun and accurate rifle!

I have a C Sharps 1885 High Wall and love it.C Sharps also makes their 75 Sharps and Low wall in 22,though pricy if you can afford it I would go with one of them good quality for the money.

Re: Sharps,Rolling block repros
Me too. Mine's in .45-120 Sharps though, not .22. Very good quality and I'm pleased with it.TedH wrote:I have a Pedersoli Sharps, and I've been happy with it. I don't compare it to a Shilo, but it's half the price too.
Re: Sharps,Rolling block repros
I had a Pedersoli roller. Pretty rifle, put together nicely, shot well. Typical Italian problems, soft metal, had to replace the firing pin due to peening.
I sold it when I bought my Shilo, to help fund it. I miss the rifle and I'm sorry I sold it. At times I think I'd rather have it than the Sharps.

Slow is just slow.
Re: Sharps,Rolling block repros
I have one of the Italy made Lil Sharps in 38-55 that is great. I can't remember if it was made in .22 LR but it is a very comfortable rifle to carry and shoot. It, if it could be found, would be about perfect.
Re: Sharps,Rolling block repros
I have this in .22LR with a Uberti Creedmore sight and hit an equivalent dime at 75 yards with it.Shasta wrote:Don't overlook the Winchester Low Wall copy made by Uberti and sold by Cimarron:
