I finally found a brick.
I was at my LGS the other day and there on the shelf were 6 bricks of RWS match ammo. He said everyone else was passing on it because of the price. I guess they've never shot match ammo before. I've been meaning to order some but just never can seem to get around to it. My 10/22s love this stuff.

Re: I finally found a brick.
I think things are freeing up finally. I was traveling up from Tenn and Kentucky and saw Bricks of Remington thunder duds all along and 100 round Super X's at Cabela's in PA. They also had bricks of Win sub Sonic's for 59 dollars Ouch and Federal 325 Round boxes of auto match for 21.00. 1200 round limit per customer. I bought a box of the Federals and 100 22Shorts, didn't want to get greedy and become part of the problem.

Re: I finally found a brick.
That is good news.
Re: I finally found a brick.
I went back today to pick up another brick so I could have two with the same lot #. No more than I shoot .22s these days they'll last me a long, long time.
FWIW they were also well stocked with CCI and Aguilla.

Aguila's actually are great shooting ammo, have a weird smell tho not like a W-W or Federal 22LR.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

I like the Federal "Auto Match". I'm now going to have to try some other match rounds... when I ever find them!
Re: I finally found a brick.
Wally World had some 300 pack CCI LRHPs today. Picked one up for $21.97. Don't really need 'em, but since these are the first American made .22s I've seen on a retail shelf in at least 3 years, I bought one.
Have you hugged your rifle today?
Re: I finally found a brick.
It's getting better. I left some Federal Auto Match on the shelf the other day. I bought some earlier this year but despite the name it doesn't seem to shoot any better than bulk ammo. May just be my guns. I did buy 100 rounds of CCI for $9 so that wasn't bad. Hopefully the long drought is over and we can go back to having a good time with the double deuces.
