Is the 445 maximum in the ruger the same cartridge as the 445 super mag in the Dan Wesson?

Yep, just like the .357 maximum is (essentially) the same as a .357 super mag.

So the 445 Max splits the difference between the 44 Rem Mag and the 444 Marlin .

Got an email from Hamilton Bowen. He wasn't sure why it was stamped 445 maximum but verified it's the same as a super mag.

AmmoGuide.com lists 59 loads, ranging from a 180 grain Hornady bullet at 1700 fps from an 8" barrel, to a 300 grain Sierra bullet at 1800 fps from a 14" barrel.
