Is that a CZ American? 452 maybe?

Nath, nice fox and rabbits too. Nice rifle also. I have been tempted to get one of those in .22 mag, but I think I want the full length stock model carbine. Our local gun shop has one.

Did you hit the fox in the neck, looks like maybe? Did the 22 mag drop him in his tracks or did he travel a ways? Good shooting, regardless.

Good shooting Nath! That fox is the biggest I think I've ever seen. I do believe he would of tried a sheep if he was hungry.

Your the best advertisement I've seen for CZ. There are very few 22 mag rifles it won't out shoot.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Nate, I have never seen a fox anywhere near that size. The coyotes that I have shot have not been close to that size.
Also wondering about his reaction.

That one is big enough to make a nice fur stole for your wife, or use it with a couple of smaller ones and make her a nice fur jacket.

Good show, Nath. You do make the most of your firearms!

Seeing your rabbits reminds me of eating jackrabbit chili as a kid. We would go out at night on the country roads and shoot a mess of jacks and the my dad would grind them up for chili - great eating with cheese and crackers!

That CZ and the 22 Mag cartridge makes a classy combination.

Wicked effective, too!

How's Jess coming along?

Nice shooting !

What 22 Mag round did you use for the fox ? I assume that is your pet round for the piece.

So many questions :)

The ammo is some Remington 33BTip.

Jess is doing fine.

The fox was walking at about 100yds. It was necessary to use follow up shots!
No fault of the bullet, just bad shooting.
The rifle is light and flighty aiming off hand so I have refitted the moderator as the extra length steadies the rifle in the hand.
Here is a 75yd off hand shot today. The mod makes it easy to aim.

Thanks all.

Danny, I have some and would prefer them but they are tough and zip through with little if any expansion. HP and SP by Remington.

Nath you will be surprised at how well FMC 40's work get the flat point CCI or fiocchi, they punch thru and do more damage than a HP due to the cavitation bubble they build when hitting flesh and fluid, yes Ive had them zip thru a coyote but the insides are hamburger. Flat nose bullets work whether HC or jacketed 22 to 45 caliber. danny

A friend tried them years ago and gently filed the tip jacket material off. They did OK.
