Good read.

Henry Winkler is an actor, producer, and director, as well as a New York Times best-selling author of I've Never Met an Idiot on the River and the Hank Zipzer series. Also the coauthor of 17 children's books, he lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Stacey, two dogs, and five fly-fishing rods.

  As a drift boat skipper, I wish I could say the same.

Winkler was always a class act.

Thanks, I didn't know any of that and that's a great book title.

I live on the Missouri River near Craig, MT. Sadly, there are quite a few guys who may be quite smart, but have little appreciation for proper river etiquette. Kinda like the "mix" of folks one might see at the local gun range--though I never have to visit one of them.

All I can say is -- he must never have fished on the Deschutes here in Central Oregon.

Seems like most of the guys with those sleds lack a bit of courtesy...A few will rock your world, and think it's funny. It's usually fun to see those Alpha Hotels at the take out.
Alas, drift boats seem to be falling out of favor. :( Nothing like missing a stroke, and going sideways down the whitewater backwards.

A while back he was on the NPR game show called "Wait, Wait Don't tell me" as a guest. He admitted then that his wife catches more fish than he does. He sounded like a stand up guy.
