Colt .22 Mag
Ordered a .22 Mag cyl from Numrich. It required some fitting and deburring, works fine now.

OS, that looks like a mighty fine roaming around sixgun.

OS I have told how my Dad bought me a New Frontier 6" with both cylinders when I was about 15 for 109. new. I could put a cylinder of Winchester Magnum hollow points into 2 inches at 50 yards on the bench. I wish I kept it.

Re: Colt .22 Mag
In 1974 I bought four for $75 each ... gave one to my brother and one each two two cousins. Traded mine. RJohns kindly went out of his way to sell me this one and get it to Calif.
Re: Colt .22 Mag
Mine has a bit longer barrel. Taught all my kids to shoot with it, it came with both cylinders, no shortage of cactus pears at the home place.

And why did you not keep it?!EdinCT wrote:OS I have told how my Dad bought me a New Frontier 6" with both cylinders when I was about 15 for 109. new. I could put a cylinder of Winchester Magnum hollow points into 2 inches at 50 yards on the bench. I wish I kept it.

I like that OS!
can I have it?.
Is the cylinder Colt manuf?
Now, instead of a .22, I'd like to see a picture of your "38" ...you know, the soft stuff 38's. ----6

Re: Colt .22 Mag
Nicest SA .22 ever made. I've had two of them, one like yours and one with the 6.5" barrel and fixed sights.
Didn't keep either, regret the loss of both.
I wouldn't recommend shooting that little loundenboomer with mags without using good ear protection. I did and have regretted it since.

Very nice, indeed. It's not a Colt, but I value my Single Six with the Mag Cyl as among the best of my flock.

Re: Colt .22 Mag
My Ruger Super Single Six doesn't hold a candle to the two Colts I'd had. Inaccurate with both cylinders and the front sight is the crookedest I've ever had.
I keep it only because it was a gift from my late uncle.
