Good info. The short story pretty much summed things up.

Good common sense article from some one who has killed some bears. No wild accusations or exaggerations. This needs to be exerted into every article about bears and stopping power. Thanks!

I noted that he did not include the .45 colt. And they do make several rounds.

That article stopped a bear?
Actually, I also noticed the absence of .480 Ruger and .357 Sig. There are probably a few other calibers which would work, but I have never hunted bear, so I don't really know.

I think maybe he was just listing a few of the rounds folks would not think of as bear loads.
