Burnt up another (cheap, all metal) electric desk fan (placed behind my stove to throw air) so finally got one of these. Been putting it off because of the price, but Christmas for Me:
Dead silent and no electric cords to melt. Pushes the hot air off the stove nicely (175cfm). Well worth it.
Biggest issue is keeping it cool enough to run. Max conductivity temp is 650 and my stove gets red (700+) embarrassingly fast...

I've long wondered if the kerosene stove at the cabin would be hot enough to make it work, but the price keeps me from trying. (plus it would only see about 15 days use a year)
ETA: Looking into it more just now, they make a few models. The lowest/cheapest/weakest one's operating range starts at 185º. The next 212º The highest one at 230º. I have no idea what the temp range is on that ancient stove... at the moment not great, but that's a whole other story/problem.

I run #2 Red Diesel in mine. It's certainly not cheap (8hrs +/-) per 5gal, but it's way easy compared to plumbing NG or 220.
If you are not running it a lot, a liquid fuel unit is a pretty good deal...

Looks like it will work...sure is cheap on electric too!
I also do 98% of my heating with wood. I find it imperative to keep the air moving. Ceiling fans (I know, electric) with the switch turned to suck the air upward and with fan speed on low, does an amazing job to keep the heat from going through the ceiling and creates uniformity in the house. ----6

We used to burn a lot of wood. probably 60 or 70% of our heating but we have a ground source heat pump that is fabulously cheap. When we first put it in 15 years ago we heated and cooled this about 3000 sq ft house for less than $100 per month. Electricity prices have gone up to where it was just over $200 last August. I let the fan run on low all the time to circulate to keep an even temp. I build a little fire when I want to.

That looks good ! Been thinking about just getting a small battery powered fan to blow some extra heat into the kitchen at camp ( door to the right of stove ) . I could buy a lot of batteries for the price of that one Downside of the battery fan is mounting it to a floor joist and being able to reach it.
Problem I've found with battery or cord electric is that they die from radiant heat pretty fast.
I've been through two All Metal fans that still cooked off.
With these, as long as you keep your max temps below 650 (red glow at 700+) they will run forever.
