Patriots are Champions

Post by Grizz »

best superbowl game I have watched. right up there in champion quality with the 2016 Chicago Cubs world series triumph. champions don't quit. and the contest was high drama.

the nfl put up a trio of somethings singing America the Beautiful badly, off-key, to make a complete political statement of how tone deaf the entire disloyal opposition actually is. flipped them off but enjoyed the anthem, seeing Brady singing it with joy and pleasure.

the commisioner was booed so loudly when he presented the trophy to coach Bellichek (sp) that he was inaudible. I got the feeling that the stands were filled with Trump supporters, the other winners this season.

I didn't watch the ads during the game and didn't watch the gagme show at half-time. but I did watch a great car advert honoring our troops in some far away hostile field location with an amazing gift of great heart. glad I watched that one.

I love it when champions triumph like champions.

maybe it's an indicator of good things to come for America and American-Americans . . .

before I go completely schmarmy I'll say good night

Glad to hear that it was a good game. I didn't watch, but I do try to see the highlights and make myself aware of the final score just to remain conversational on the subject.

But really, I just can't think of many things that are more irrelevant than professional sports.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I hate the Patriots . Can't get over there "tuck rule". Yes, 40 yr Raider fan  . (As a cop, those fans were job security  )That said....Wow. what a game and I will concede Brady is the best QB ever. His mom who has been going through chemo was there and it was good to see her enjoying the win . Plus Howie Long's kid gets a super bowl ring. Halftime show didn't get political. Don't like her music but she just performed which is what she was paid to do.

I was not going to watch. Didn't have a dog in the fight. Then, I saw on my news feed that it was a close game and they happened to be streaming it for free on Fox News site....The last 10 min, and the OT were amazing.

Who? What? Something of import happened today. The most significant thing to me was the brush hog coming apart right after I finished mowing the pond pasture. I get a day's break getting it repaired before I mow the big pasture!

yup. they ARE champions.

I think it's a good allegory for America. If WE double down and don't quit, perhaps America will surpass her former records also . . .

Not a Patriots fan, but one has to appreciate the discipline they showed, and the drive to never give up.

I didn't care who won, but watched. I almost turned it off at halftime, but nothing else on TV, so stuck with it. Glad I did as that was probably one of the best comebacks in football history! If you were a fan of either side, that 2nd half had to be pretty exciting!

That's pretty un-patriotic of you.... ;) ( ROTFLMAO )

We know that Goodell doesn't say a word that his bosses (some NFL team owners) don't approve; yet, even so, Brady took a poke at Goodell, in this commercial he filmed BEFORE the Super Bowl:

yeah, the whole team started working as a single unit. White said, "I just knew I had to get into the endzone."

kind of looked like, "ya know, we got 7 minutes, let's win this thing!" :D :D

More like:

Hey, Dude - You need a field goal, two touchdowns, and TWO two-point conversions to take this to overtime. That's impossible !

Brady: "Hold my beer" .
