a Different single six???
Is my memory failing me or did someone post a link to a single six that had been revamped and changed over to a .32 H&R? I haven't been able to find it.

may not be making them anymore; here's one on auction:

the older models were available with adjustable sights, which i prefer. like this 'buntline':

I have a 5½" adjustable sight Single-Six .32 H&R. A treat for sure and not for sale. Indeed I can't understand why it was sold! However, I'm very thankful for the opportunity to own it.

Rusty,
I cannot point you to an article about that conversion, but I can say this: I was looking through a local gunshop's glass case a couple of days ago. He had an older Bearcat in there. I asked to look at it, and he told me they are great little guns, especially if you have 'em converted to .32 H&R Magnum. So, you are not barking up the wrong tree. It has been done. Ruger made some, but some gunsmiths converted a few to .32. cas is showing us one. ...small gun with a BANG!

Rusty, You can get a 5 1/2 in barrel from ruger for about $40 and the cylinder from numrich for about the same. You can convert it from rimfire to centerfire with the right parts. Gunblast had an article on the 327 federal where a single six was reworked to shoot the 327.
I have one of the fixed sighted 4 3/4 in barrel. Last week I picked up a 6 1/2 in adj sight one. I did this to see if I can shoot one better that the other. But I can only keep one. I'm loading up some ammo tonight and if the weather cooperates then I can shoot on Sunday.

Is the some of the newer Aguila 5mm? Curious, the jackets on my Remington/Peters are skived ... which is why I ask.cas wrote:It's a .22 Long Snapper. Sort of a shorter K-Hornet.hfcable wrote:is it a modified hornet wildcat or regular hornet?
Ooops, my bad. I can barely see the skiving now. My eyes are not that great come the end of the day.

another single six clone
this pistol is exactly the same size as a single six, but a tiny bit lighter due to the 38 special caliber:
uberti makes this and with fixed sights calls it a Model P jr. this adjustable sight model is hard to find. i have fired three of these guns and they are amazingly accurate with good target grade ammo, and in this caliber gives a lot of oomph for a very small gun; fit and finish is superb and the trigger is excellent right out of the box. ammo of course is cheap and versatile as well.

As some folks have already said, just buy one (a Ruger) of many made since 84/85 to present (2006) in a variety of forms...plus the little Ubertis also mentioned. Wouldn't pay to convert anything I wouldn't think. Prices not that bad. I take (part of) that back...some of the early adjustable sighted ones are getting up there. Sold my c. 1985 several years ago and wish I hadn't. Then later became enamored with the Vaqueritos. Like 'em in all forms.
Just put this on another post:dr walker wrote:I think I remember a stainless steel Single-six that Alan Harton did converting it from rimfire 22 to centerfire 32. I'll look and see if I can find that for you.

I purchased a Lipsey's Special SS Ruger Single Six with a 4 5/8" barrel & inter changeable 22lr & 22mag cylinders, when I was at the shot show in vegas this year I asked the staff at Lipseys if they have any more of them or is Ruger making any,I was told they have none & as far as they know Ruger isn't making them with the 4 5/8" barrel. My dealer told me if I ever wanted to sell it he could get a premium price for it at a gun show as not many were made & they're in demand.
