1873 uberti .357 rifle
problem with firing pin extension riding up on top of hammer at full cock. this does not seem normal as it binds the lever slightly. this is a short stroked CAS rifle.any ideas?

I cant really picture that problem - do you mean full cock, or do you when the lever is fully extended, action open?

You may have to relieve the top of the hammer and/or the flat underneath the firing pin extension..
Just enough to prevent binding, then polish both surfaces..
A little lithium grease on those surfaces, and vigorous cycling of the action should take care of it..
