Be Patriotic - Buy Guns with your Stimulus Package Check

Post by El Chivo »

With some money coming back to us, don't we owe it to the nation to spend it on guns and ammo? Won't that send a clear message?

Componets.
The cost of a thousand rounds of 30-30 cast.
1000 gas checks $33
1000 LP primers $28
4lbs of H335 $80

That and I will be donating to the Bill Gates fund, to start my small buisness and replace the 8 year old desktop that we have.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.

That was my plan. I recently found a used Marlin 1894 .44 Mag. for $330 locally. Then I broke a tooth and now I am facing $3000 in dental bills!

I contributed ahead too - bought a used Marlin 336RC and then continued to contribute by having it sent to a gunsmith to be rechambered

And I'm taking my hunting buddy on the leverguns texas safari in August as a give-back for letting me hunt his place all of the time in Mississippi. :)

[don't we owe it to the nation to spend it on guns and ammo?]

Yep.

Wife told me I could have half for guns, when the media touted $600 each/$1200 per couple - so I ordered & received a brandy-new .22 Magnum revolver, and bought a ca,1892 Stevens No.37 Gould Target Pistol !

Boy, was I sittin' fat 'n sassy - until our rebate got direct deposited last Friday in the amount of $600 total, for the both of us.

It's a good thing, that I just sold a rifle - or my butt woulda been grass & my wife the lawn mower.

Be patriotic and buy a gun .................... how about rethinking that.

Use the money to better your situation a little bit. Pay off a high interest credit card, or finish projects that seem to clutter up your life. Or maybe yet put it towards getting out of socialist states like CA, MA, IL, and the like.
Or, how about this ... put it in a nice hight interest saving account or the like. That would really pee the feds off.

Patriotism is one thing, but $600 or $1200 is insignificant. It's an election year gimmick. Oh gee golly whiz, our great white father is going to help us by giving us some money. B.S., I've read they are going to consider the money as income next year and tax us on it.
They tax our income taking it from us by force or threat of force, then give us some back then tax it again. What a racket, only the Chicago mob can compete with them.

Besides, I still don't believe we will get anything from the feds. "IF" it gets here I'll believe it then.

Yeah, I'm just a bit sour about this subject. We really need another tea party.

I don't care where the money comes from. I'm buying ammo and components as I can. Just picked up another case of .22 LR. (with nasty lead bullets)

Then again, I'm not too proud to pick every penny I see on the street or in the parking lots. I've probably picked up $30-40 over the years.
Sincerely,

Hobie

myself - I am thinking a S&W 642 to protect me when the gov't men in black come to take me in. I already have Kel-Tec .380 - but a nice stainless 38 special +P would be nice to have - and would make a good fishin' gun.

Lets hope that doesn't need to be adressed!

But I'd suggest a nice SKS instead - you can buy one and a case of ammo for less than that little beauty will set you back. :)

I'm with J Miller on this one.

By some quirk of mathematical hijinks, it should be just enough to bump everyone into a higher bracket, costing more next year.

Are they going to print more paper to cover this so that my existing funds are $800.00 more worthless?

Heck, I can barely afford the tinfoil it takes to make life bearable these days

Hey Guys,

I waited until the legislation was enacted, and then placed an order with Jim Chambers. The check and the rifle should arrive about the same time!! :D

Bought mine this past week.

I do not like to carry one of my good guns, like my Browning 40 HP. I prefer a wheel gun with some punch, and if I must use it I can forget it. Not so with the HP, I love that gun.

Sooooo I bought a Charter Arms 44 Bulldog Pug. Light weight little rascal.

And has some KD punch.

I have several 44 specials so this was a natural for me.
