So I got a new Samsung phone, while snooping around on goo play store I found an app, RELOADING ASSISTANT.
looks like a lot of information including power factors.

Re: Neat app! For reloaders
I read your post then got the app. for my tablet. So far I only see a cost comparison program but lots of reload data. The load data includes start/max charge, start/max velocity start/max pressure, start/max energy, start/max power factor and start/max penetration (haven't figgered this one out yet). I don't know nor do I care what my handloads cost vs. factory ammo as I have purchases only 2 boxes of ammo in the last 10 years. I'll keep playing with it...

Re: Neat app! For reloaders
Now, THAT is a GREAT reloading app!
I have seen several handloading/reload apps for my Android, have tried several and kept only a few.
This one is quite good. It even showed me some light Trail Boss loads for that 500 SW Magnum monstrosity that a friend asked about. It seems that he became enamored with the idea of bragging rights at the range, but then wasn't so keen on shooting it after his wrist and pocketbook both suffered noticeably after a couple of cylinders of the factory stuff.
One should sure to download Reloading Assistant, not Reloader's Assistant.
Thank you for the great tip!

The ones that I kept together on one "page" are:
Ammo Seek (Finds ammo, components for sale)
Federal Premium App (Cartridges, Ballistics calc)
Nikon Spot On (Specialized for one scope)
and a calculator app (many good ones available, some too complicated for non-engineers like me)
Thank you for the great tip!

Welcome John!
Yes some of the info is pointless and I don't need the cost comparison either but it is nice to have the data just for grits & shins!

That round is very tame from a rifle though, and I think a hard-cast half-incher going 1200 fps or so would make great deer-meat edible 'right up to the hole'.JohndeFresno wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 11:47 amIt even showed me some light Trail Boss loads for that 500 SW Magnum monstrosity that a friend asked about. I'll have to check that data out.
