Re: Oh, My.....
Pete you gonna get one a do a range report for us? Your Double Badger comments help ped me decide to get one, tho i had to settle for a 22/20gauge cause all the 410's were never in stock!
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Nooooooo thanks !
The 20ga wasn't yet an option when I ordered my .22Mag/.410 DB - how do you like it ?
I glued a small felt pad to the underside to act as a buffer for keeping the lever from making a loud noise when it snaps up against the bottom.

I like it alot. 20 gauge is cheaper and i can either down load it or put a 410 liner in that i had made. Dont like the fat plastic fiber optic sight but dont plan on sniping squirrels at 75 yards or head shooting grouse at 50! I drilled out the stock bolt channel and can get 2 shells in it and some 22 ammo.

I've often thought of altering my DB to a Savage 24 Camper butt storage for ammo.

Hmm, the mention of the 22/.410 got me to thinking, always a dangerous thing. But how about this double barreled monster as a Drilling. Say a .44 barrel under the smooth bores. Sort of a reverse LeMat.

Re: Oh, My.....
These have finally started shipping after an eight month or more wait when promised in 4 to six weeks.
I have temporary custody of one and have shot it exactly four times.
a left and a right of 3cc wano reenactor followed by a well tamped cotton ball for overpowder wad then a load of 3.3cc of #5 sheathed in a well waxed 3"x3" cleaning patch, the loose ends of the patch acting as an over shot wad as the wax cooled.
and a left and a right of same powder charge, cotton ball then a waxed patched 5/8" steel ball.
actually hit a 8.5 x 11" sheet of paper at about 25 feet with all four shots.
bad guy's view.....

Re: Oh, My.....
Sounds fun. With a moderate charge like that, it probably is reasonably comfortable to shoot. How is it for noise and flame out the muzzle?

Re: Oh, My.....
not too loud.....did not notice flame due to bright sun but indoors or after sunset i'm sure it sparkles some.
b.t.w. there are 43 daisy bb's in the recomended 1/2 oz. load. sheathed in a waxed cleaning patch for a shotcup of sorts, they should not gouge the bore.

I do not want to be on the receiving end of that. BBs are hard and they hurt.

Yeh, but which end would be the receiving end? I think it would be a killer at both endsI do not want to be on the receiving end of that. BBs are hard and they hurt.
