MOVIES - Watched The Professionals last night.

What a terrific western. Burt Lancaster and Lee Marvin with Jack Palance playing "Jesus Raza" I just love that movie.

Never watched it. Maybe I might have missed a worthwhile movie.

Last time I watched it, the girlfriend accused me of waiting the whole movie for Lee Marvin's last line

Good flick; I had not seen it since I was a kid, and bought the DVD when I found it was available. This is one of the best Westerns of all time, IMHO.

Synchronicity -- I watched it last night also. Did you notice that Lee Marvin had more than one campaign hat? Look at the Montana peaks. One is pointed; one is rounded.

The DVD I saw also included special features on Burt Lancaster, the making of the movie, and participants' memories of the making of it.

The novel on which the movie is based is significantly different -- not inferior, just different. The snappy dialogue, though, is pure Richard Brooks.

Last thing this post: the correct quotation is as follows. "Maybe there’s only one revolution … since the beginning —- the good guys against the bad guys. Question is: Who are the good guys?"

A few years ago I watched that movie every day for weeks. I need to do it again.

Close...it's a Colt Army Special. You get a real good look at it in the scene where Lancaster is hanging upside down in the pass. Want to talk about synchronicity? I watched it last night too!
