Some range results, pics of harem

Post by rjohns94 »

Below are some of the girls. The top pic is the new Cimarron 1876, with a target of a magazine full of rounds down range at 50 yards. That's 12 shots of 45-75. I didn't measure the group but its less than MO Bullet length. I got the midrange vernier and beech front sight from http://www.riflesmith.com/sightsstevens.html rifle company

The next picture is of my Marlin 1897 with marbles tang sight:

My Stevens model 15 with tang sight from Jeff's Outfitters:

My custom Brad Emig (Cabin Creek Outfitters, Hellam Pa) .54 Virgina Rifle with cherry stockin front of Whitetail buck taken with it in 2002

and my custom built (1845) English 12 gauge side by sidethat I took the double of dove with on opening day this year:

You may be using the incorrect image line for forums, rj. Try a different line below your pic. HTML tag line may work for you.

You can't post pics from Snapfish. I fixed the image links to work.
Sincerely,

Very nice! Gotta love those groups with the 1876. If I haven't said it yet, WELCOME! I use photobucket.com Very easy to use, though I have been having trouble with my photo's coming out too small. Good luck and thanks for sharing. Edit: whoops, sorry, sometimes I think I'm back on the old board...see you have alot of posts. Gonna take time to get used to this.

Hey rjohns94,

I also have one of Brad's fine works of art.
I have the YorkTown in .45 cal. Brad built it for me
back in 87. It has accounted for a few PA. deer over the yrs.

Brad Emig .54

Post by rjohns94 »

Brad does real fine work. I have purchased all my possibles from his shop for the Virgina rifle and the British Fowler .62 cal that he built for me. In fact, I bought the the percussion hammer British 12 gage in his shop. The .54 has taken 4 or 5 deer, fox, squirrels, rabbits, ground hogs and a few crow. I sold the fowler a few years back when I bought the sxs. I use it for squirrels, pheasant, dove, grouse, rabbits. We should shoot some time.

Range

Post by rjohns94 »

I don't belong to a range in york. Been shooting on the ranges on the game lands but they have closed them down. The posted shooting was done on a friends property. I am looking to join a club. I belong to the York Archers near your rifle range.
