Ok guys

Post by GunnyMack »

I'm looking for Acraglas gel. No one has it in stock, Brownells, Midway, Midsouth.
Where else can I look? I've always fell back to those three for my Acraglas.

What other bedding compounds have you used, Recommend ?

I'm stuck on this project until I can find some.

Thanks

I always heard you could use epoxy like J-B Weld, but although I use it for lots of stuff, I've never tried it for actual bedding.

Devcon and Marine Tex are both great products for bedding.

I found a guy that has his own line of bedding products, placed an order last night & shipped today!
Score High Gunsmithing.

I've used acraglas and bisonite, had a couple of packs of the Brownells Steelbed ( both went bad in unopened packaging). I haven't tried the Devcon or Marinetex as I'm mostly using it for wood stocks and I need to color it. Not sure if these can be colored ?

Had a guy in school, unliked by everyone , he set to doing a bedding job, covered his barreled action with release agent and left the room, instructor ran for a bottle of acetone and sprayed the action. Then told us to bite our tongues or he'd fail us. Boy that guy was days of beating and cussing before the stock broke.
