1892 tang safety question

I found a clean Miroku '92 w/tang switch. It's stuck in the forward/FIRE position.
Is there some sort of lock-out feature under the switch, perhaps to prevent
inadvertent activaion? I recall that the old method was to rely on the half-cock.

Could be the previous owner 'fixed' it in the FIRE position.
It's kind of like automatic safeties on shotguns, easy to 'fix' by removing the rod that goes to the top lever.

Turns out it just needed some Kroil, and a few nudges back and forth on the extended foot that blocks the hammer.
Then, I could get it working with the sliding switch as intended.
