I like it; only problem is short sight radius.

If I had the Buffalo Classic I'd put it on there.

Hmmm since I need to order the front inserts for my BC (Lyman 17A), maybe one of these is in order as well.

Possibly one for the Quigley too.

I think it's great - the next time I have a rifle that needs a rear sight I'll try one.

Well, it looks interesting, but it's not something I'd pay money for. I'd rather buy a set of antique sights with the fine notch and narrow front sight blade like you normally find on a turn of the last century Win or Marlin rifle.

I'm with you on that Joe - I need to try this! I'm thinking this would make a real nice sight for the "pink rifle" I made my daughter last year. I hate starting kids out with scopes. Call me a traditionalist, but I like them to use iron sights at first. :D

Can't be much more than their Buckhorn sights, which are $17.00. I'd say $25.00.

Looks pretty neat, but I'm afraid it looks like it sticks up too far and would be prone to getting knocked. I know scopes and stuff sticks up further, but they have mounts to the gun that IMHO could take it better than the step adjustment portion of that sight. Still wouldn't mind having it though.

I wouldn't be to crazy about using that one. As they are advertising it though, it looks perfect for a new shooter.

I was toying with the idea of putting one of these on my son's 44 mag Big Boy. Anything to improve the sight picture would be an improvement.

It's cute - But even the Marble's description says it's mostly for young and/or inexperienced shooters.

As a peep, IMHO it's too far from the eye (forward) to be as effective as a peep should be.

I really like the looks of that sight! I think it gives a great sight picture, and a great option for guns that aren't D&T for a tang peep sight!

Looks like it may sell a few units... seems like I have seen some period (old) sights similar to that in nature...but I am old and remember lots of things that never existed...so it seems.

If they made that like an express sight and you could flip it up... ? na...to expensive.

I like the looks of it too. It would work fine where they show it, but look at this dovetail model:

Image

The lower one, that doesn't have the elevator blade, looks like it could be dovetailed into a marlin bolt if it was narrowed down a scotch. I'd like one like that on my redhawk... perfect if I could scale it to fit.

Not for me. The aperture is too far forward to work with my eyes.
