prayers for a family please

Post by rjohns94 »

I got word on Saturday while I was out hiking on the Appalachain Trail (18 miles) that a very dear friend was killed in a single truck accident just miles from his home. He was coming off a string of double shifts, and fell asleep as he was approaching home. He was dead on the scene after hitting a tree and telephone pole. Mitch was 54 years old, was set to retire in January. He and his wife were in my growth group (bible study) for 7 years, and we vacationed with him and spend holidays with his family every year. He lived a sportsman life and always had a smile and a joke. He leaves a wife, and sons and daughters and grand children to struggle without his smile. I was honored to be a part of the Holy Spirit's work in leading him to saving faith in Christ. I will miss him dearly. Please pray for his family.

I was very sorry to hear about this. My prayers go out to his family and friends that God will give them the peace that passes all human understanding.
