That happened awhile back he got in a bit of trouble over that.

Him getting in trouble is a pretty sad thing. Only thing I can see he did wrong was take the guys flag, but I doubt it meant much to him anyway. (the store owner)

As Jeremy noted, this happened last year - maybe even 2007. The Vet got in trouble because of the knife and because of destroying private property.

I would have done the same. I think I might have tried taking it down first without cutting the rope (the destruction of private property part), but if it wouldn't come, you just need to do the right thing and suck up the repercussions...
