After 9 YEARS of being told either "You are Overeduacted" or "You are Under Qualified" (or both ) I finally got a conditional job offer.
The condition is that I go to school for 10 weeks (paid) and pass a Physical (no problem).
The other condition is that I move out of Chicagoland and back to Wyoming (yay!)
BUT... that means I gotta get some scratch. SO, I gots stuff to sell over in Classifieds.
C'mon & help a guy get out of Emperor Dayley's Obamaland eh?

Congratulations OI.......come Oct 1st I will be unemployed....company says downsizing by 25% and my services are no longer needed.....but they are giving me early retirement and serverance pay.......so not as bad as it could have been........so at 58 yrs old and 35 yrs of employment, once again I'll be looking for a job.
Moving to Wyoming! You lucky dog. I stayed in Afton for about four months and I loved the country. Couldn't hunt though, only a visitor and the wrong season.

First off learning the "system" and getting the "experience" under my belt - the lack of which prevented me from successfully applying for a Training position that actually fit/required my Degree...
After I get the "experience" in Corrections then we will see what happens.

Well, if you have to learn the ropes of how a prison works, it's probably better to do in Wyoming than in Illianois or whatever.
You would think thay Wyoming would not be as crowded or have the institutionalized gang cultures as the large urban areas.
OI - I'm really happy for you. Nothing like a change of scenery and employment to give someone a super lift in spirit. Congratulations and enjoy your "new lease on life"!

Congratulations on the position. Glad you got it. I'm not jealous at all, cos once you get there you can be my eyes and scope out some houses and things for us.
I'll miss the IN get togethers though.

Probably the biggest suck factor is I really doubt I'll have Internet Access for 10+ weeks... but we will see.

OK, I guess I missed it but what kind of job are you getting? Airline Pilot, Klondike Bar Taster, Victoria Secrets Bikini Tester, or some mundane office job?
