OT -- Prayer request

Many of you know Rjohns94, and some know me. Last night, our Mother had a heart attack and she is in the ICU tonight. She has been in ill health for the last couple of years, but this is a new and dangerous ailment. We could sure use your prayers to ask God to watch over her and help her through this difficult time. She is a relatively young woman at 72 and has been the matriarch of the family, supporting everyone through their most difficult life trials. She could use some support now.

My dear friends. I just wanted to thank you for your continued prayers. Through the night, the decision was made to conduct a catherization in the early morning hours. My mom came out of that procedure fine. They are conducting more tests to address some other issues with her health that are troubling. She is a frail shell of the strong woman she has always tried to be. I would be honored if your prayers would continue. they mean so much to Bruce and I and the rest of the family. I know this is a natural process but I am a firm believer in prayers aligned with God's will, are soon answered. Thanks

Seems mom has suffered a series of small or one larger stroke. They are doing tests to determine the extent of damage. I notice cognitive and speech problems and a general body weakness. Last night, her right eye was closed as I was talking to her. thanks for your prayers

Our Dad says that the doctors confirmed she had both a heart attack and a stroke...together at approximately the same time. It appears that the damage to heart is minimal, at least from the MRI and CAT scans they have done. The stroke is more problematic, as she continues to be disoriented, even seeing things not there (like a cow outside the window). However, the good news is, when asked if she knew the President's name, ... although she couldn't remember, she whispered to the doctor, "...but I don't like him at all!" At least she still retains some of her faculties!

Mike are I are so appreciative of your prayers and well wishes. I never thought I'd have to draw upon the strength of the good men and women on this community, but am so thankful for your kindness and prayers. I know they are making a difference. Thank you so much for your efforts.
