Sweet!
I got my first one about a year ago at a local shop. I had to go $280!
Darned fun .22s! It's replaced my Martini as my favorite!

Great find. I do believe the 39 is the best shootin' .22 rimfire levergun. Not looking to start a levergun holywar brothers, just my 2 cents worth. 2 cents is all my opinion is worth! What show? Welcome and God Bless, 1886.

Re: gun show find
Great buy. Enjoy!
The only .22 I like better than my Model 39 is my Model 39 Mountie...straight stock and 20" barrel.

Well, Gary, it's obvious you just don't know what kind of underwear I wear, now isnt' it! So, FYI, my underwear have hearts on them!!!1886 wrote:Victor, Take off your Winchester underwear. 1886.mod71alaska wrote:Great find, Dave! Where are you in Maine? I'm midcoast. I own and shoot both a Marlin Model 39 with an octagon barrel and several models of the Winchester 9422. From my experience, the 9422 is the finest lever action .22 ever made. No bias there.
That being said, Dave scored BIG TIME with that Marlin 39 at the Augusta Gun Show. I'd have bought it a heart beat, too. Way to go fellow Mainer!!!
