In the Winchester poster thread above, Travis Morgan posted two pics of Raquel Welch as Hanny Calder.
What is the gun she's holding in the second picture?

I assume that after your admonishment Hobie if it is still ok to post a picture of a scantily clad woman as the above picture depits, it is still ok for Old Savage to post pics of the Hula Hoop Gall and ok for me to post pictures of my heavy ladies.Hobie wrote:Looks like an Adams revolver Maybe a Beaumont Adams...

I saw that movie many years ago when I was way too young to appreciate it. I do believe it's time to get us a DVD copy.

Ed,
Heavy ladies no. I've already told you that. Raquel isn't scantily clad, she has at least a poncho and gunbelt with gun. BTW, it was necessary to post the pic due to the gun.

Re: OT: Hanny Calders gun
I had one class with Raquel Welch at San Diego State College. She was a beautiful young lady and even then stood out in a crowd.

But then it wouldn't have been an eye-opener!!!
You just don't have an eye for the heavy gals.

Adams, with the middle finger-rest like a S&W Russian, which is kind of odd....
I almost said a French 1873, but it's not quite on.

Wow! I never heard of that movie before, but it seems like I need a copy of that! It did take me a couple minutes to notice the pistols though...

Re: OT: Hanny Calders gun
In the movie, that is the gun Christopher Lee built for her. Robert Culp brought her to him to build it.

George Layman believes it is a Webley Bulldog Frontier in .44-40.

Re: OT: Hanny Calders gun
The middle-finger 'hook' was supposed to be a cocking trigger, so she could get the gun into action easier.

Gents,
It is hard to believe that Raquel will turn 70 years old, this year (September 5, 1940):

Ed,
It is NEVER appropriate to post the heavies!
I still have optic nerve damage and nightmares from the last time.

Re: OT: Hanny Calders gun
Gun, was she holding a gun?
Adams is right but the add on finger rest was suppose to be a cocking device so she could cock the gun by pulling the lower lever and fire by pulling the trigger. The book went into this in more detail.
