Prayers for Y'Kid's surgery this AM-UPDATE- & special thanks

Post by mod71alaska »

Jay's back surgery is scheduled for 11 (Eastern) this morning. I ask those who believe in the power of prayer to remember to lift him and his surgeons up in your prayers this morning for a 100% successful surgery and a full recovery to follow. Please also lift up his wife in prayer as she has the flu right now. I trust they will be healed and dancing together soon!

Thanks to all of you whose faith and prayers are so generous and supportive within our Levergun family. It is the special gift to one another within this Forum that we can ask and receiver that prayer support.

Victor

6:30 PM UPDATE: Good news! I received a brief note from Jay saying his surgery went well and he is resting at home. He said he could feel your prayers helping him through this and thanked everyone! I think we'll see him back soon. :D

He surely has our prayers and --- from private IMs i've had with him and his describing his status to me, I think he is in very competent medical hands. Hard to beat that.

You guys are simply the best! Mrs. YK, after a few days of antibiotics, is feeling much better. The hospital called and changed the time three times, including this morning, but it was all good - they just kept moving it up. We got there at 7:30am, and I was in surgery by 9:00am - no wait in the waiting room. As Victor noted, the surgery went well, though I am in a world of pain right now. I'm on the right track! I guess I coughed pretty bad when they inserted the breathing tube, and burst a bunch of blood vessels in my face and eyes. Looks like I was on the receiving end of angry Marine! No big deal.

All for now, but I wanted to thank Victor for posting this, keeping you all up to date, and for all of your prayers and well-wishes.

Again, you guys are the best! :D

Victor, if I get to dancing, I'll be better than before. I'm the original guy with two left feet - though my slipper shots don't show it!

I did rest in bed all day today. Still there now. Whatever they injected me for pain control while I was in the hospital has worn off completely. Oh well - I have to get through this to get better. The swelling in my face has come down, and most of the red dots have faded. Snapped this picture of my eyes though. Strange...

Thanks again all for the continued prayers!

Y.K. glad your surgery went well! (Other than the eye thing!) I had the same procedure done on my neck (between C-4 and C-5) in 2003 and for a few days it felt like my head would fall off. This too shall pass.
