Another Marlin joins the herd

Post by TedH »

Thanks to a tip from jdad I was able to buy this Marlin 375 off Gunbroker. I was a little reluctant because the seller only had one poor photo and described it as "pretty good shape". But the Buy it Now price was such that I knew it wouldn't be there long, so I took my chances and pounced on it, sorry Blaine  . It showed up today at my FFL and I certainly am not disappointed. I would describe it better than "pretty good" The metal is near flawless and the wood only has the usual dings and light scratches that come with a 30 year old gun. It's a 1980 vintage, pre safety model, has a superb trigger and the action is still very tight, like it's not seen much use. If the snow lets up I plan on wringing it out at the range tomorrow.

I LIKE that Sporting Carbine/336A config, Ted - even though the barrel's rifle length. :P :P :P :P

Me too Pete. This one is a twin to my 356 except it has no safety. They are my favorite Marlin models for sure.

I've gotten some of my best rifles from poorly lit pictures and ridiculously low BIN prices......just like Ted did. :D
