OT- Blue Bunny Ammunition
I saw this and could not help but giggle to myself You have to hand it to these folks though they came up with a great reason for coming up with this name. Scroll to the bottom of the page to read about the name. BTW has anyone here used this ammo?

From the website:
On The Name
While many ammunition companies choose names for their firms or products that connote high power, martial prowess, or destructive capability, we chose a different route. Recognizing that civil lawsuits from even legitimate defense shootings are a fact of life, we chose as innocuous a name as we could. No plaintiff's attorney will stand up before a jury and allege the defendant acted with malice and unnecessary force by using "Blue Bunny Ammo" against the (we hope) deceased assailant. It is nearly lawsuit-proof on that account.
That's hilarious!

Re: OT- Blue Bunny Ammunition
While Kansas Legislators were intelligent enough (and I can't believe I used Legislators and Intelligent in the same sentence) to legally disallow civil suits in a CCH legal shooting, I think the name choice is beneficial. While many lawyers may have a way around it, it is still another obstacle to civil retribution by the criminal and the criminals' family. My hat is off to these gents, and I'll be looking at that FBI load for my CCH.

Re: OT- Blue Bunny Ammunition
neat!
I expected them to have a reason similar to the Wells Blue Bunnt Ice Cream slogan. Something like : We shoot all we can and sell the rest.
I might have to try some of that stuff for my old Bodyguard.
BTW, some years ago on a trip to San Antonio, a young lady who was acting as our escort to a dinner and dance talked of having once worked in a Wells Blue Bunny Ice Cream plant. She said the slogan is true. The employees could ea all the ice cream they wanted at no charge. she said, "We really did eat all we could and sold the rest."

Neat. Nice to see someone with both a sense of humor and the sense to make more of the LSWCHP+P available.

I like these guys!!!

I like the name. Having a sense of humor is something that too many companies are lacking today.

Not that I've found and I've been looking for a couple of years. One day I'll just have to break down and buy the set. IIRC there's three but this is the only other one I can find:Hawkeye2 wrote:Love it, anywhere I can find a file that will print a larger version of that signe?

Re: OT- Blue Bunny Ammunition
"No gun fight was lost for over penetration". Yep but may bystanders have been killed or injured by "pass throughs", resulting in law suits. A study done by the NYPD, showed that with their beloved 158gr +P RNL used in shootings since 1974 and onward, that some 17 officers were hit buy bullets shot by fellow officers, AFTER they passed through a assailant. It also showed 75 civilians have also been hurt or killed in the same period, as police officers rounds passed through assailants through the years.
So one can have to much, of a good thing. But with the 158gr +P LSWCHP it was the first successful combat load, that wrote the book for all others that would follow, going 12" and stopping in the assailant. But it will be nice to have another maker of the "FBI Load" on the market, their hard to find around here.

Re: OT- Blue Bunny Ammunition
Back in the 1960's my Dad was issued W/W Super Police loads to carry as duty ammo. Althought HE never shot anyone with them he di dop a couple of cows and a german shepard dog. He thought highly of the load and in his opinion it was twice the stopper as the 158 RN that was the old duty ammo. By the time I started we carried super vel ammo, althought I did shoot up a bunch of Webley 38 200's playing around. Compared to the super vel's i was not impressed and when we later switched to 125 Remingtons in 357 I thought it couldn't get any better. Then I got to carry my 1911!!!!
