A Memorial day salute

Post by Rusty »

I thought it needful that we remember those who paid the ultimate price on this day fighting for freedom for the rest of us. If anyone has any family members or friends they would like to post feel free to do so.

The only family member I am aware of who was killed in action was my Great Uncle Robert Frederick know as "Bobby" by the family was killed in 1918 in the battle of the Argonne Forest. When I was young there was a picture of him pasted on some black construction paper that was kept in my father's desk drawer along with his pocket watch. The picture is gone, but I still have the pocket watch and the memory.

Thank you uncle Bobby.

My nephew who got killed in Iraq while I was in Afghanistan. I was probably the bad influence that contributed to his enlisting on the Special Forces Option and going RANGER.
