local and regional micro-brews are usually the best. In Vermont, I like most offerings by Long Trail, Catamount, and Magic Hat.

I have a lot of "favorite beers". It would be hard to narrow it down to just 3, but I'll give it a whirl.

Shiner (most varieties). Their 100th anniversary beer wasn't that good IMO.

I guess those would be my top 3. Following closely is Corona with lime, Tecate with lime, St. Pauly Girl, New Castle, and a variety of others. What can I say? I like beer. I don't really like to drink, but I do enjoy a good cold beer.

I drink very little beer, but when I do my tastes don't run to the botique beers. An ice cold long neck Miller or Corona will do just fine.

When it comes to the hard stuff, and again I don't drink very much of it either. A few years back I had an attack of pancreatitis which the Dr. attributed to drinking too much booze, so I cut way, way down. Turns out the pancreatitis was due to my gall bladder, which was sucked out three weeks ago. Still, I don't plan on going back to my old drinking habits. A little will go along way for me these days. AFter a drink or two it stops tasting good, so it is time to stop.

I'll just say that the best beer I've ever put in my mouth was a stout made by a brew pub in Pigeon Forge,TN.

I prefer Bud Light to about anything else most days (simple tastes)

Rolling Rock, Sol or Dos Equis when its time to go a little more "upscale" Although Sol has been hard to find now that i am on the east coast for a while

due to having several friends who are self-confessed beer snobs, i flirt around the edges of the boutique beer spectrum when i'm with them.
Sam Adams Light would be my favorite in this category, but i also like the seasonal brews as well, and if i'm going out, occasionally i will fit the beer to the mood and the food (Irish pub means Harp , Pei Wei means Asahi or Sapporo, and i might have a stout or a porter with a nice steak dinner, and a light wheat beer to go with Italian food)

Newcastle Brown Ale or Blue Moon. A couple of years ago I had surgery and this was the first beer I had purchased on New Years Eve. It was Saison Dupont a Belgian beer and it was about $12 for a liter. Hey it was New Years Eve and I could have only one. It went down real good.
