My .30-30s

Post by Swampman »

I took the .30-30s out for a walk today. These are my knock about cheap deer rifles.

Ammo is 170 grain Remington Core-Lokts from Walmart at $14.99 a box.

50 yards NEF on the left and Glenfield 30 on the right.

I like that Marlin with the short mag tube. Those have become my favorite version of the 336, like the 375 Marlin and the 336ER.

Swampman...you're shooting like a house-a-fire, maybe some fine tuning will make some smaller groups, but, I think you're right on the line with those fine rifles. Now...go kill something & eat it. Good job!

I come across many guys at the range with custom rifles/ammo, topped with all of the latest and greatest devices, who don't come close to those kind of groups.

I believe both rifles are MOA guns. This was just a sight in trip. It was hot and the barrels were really hot by the time I shot the 100 yard groups.

Nice shooting, Swampman. And I have to agree with C.Cash's assessment.
