OT-The guns of Rambo

Post by John F. »

Has anyone seen this flick and can anyone identify for me the firearms used by the mercenaries who effected the rescue on the missionaries (that's a mouthful)?

I don't know why nobody replied to this.

I remember Rambo using an M60, and the bad guys were using M16s?

I know Sylvester Stallone is kind of a pompous homo, but the scene where he pops up and commences mowing the enemy down with an M60 is pretty cool.

I think he's referring to the latest Rambo flick. I might watch it when it hits commercial TV, but won't give that horse's-a** a dime to go see the new one.

Boy, what a mess them .45's make.

I haven't seen it and care so little that I've not seen the trailers either.
Sincerely,

Educate me on why you dislike Stallone. I enjoy watching movies but don't spend any time paying any attention to the actors or what they are doing outside of their profession.

For his age, I 'd say he still looks pretty good. Wish I looked so good.

LOL "Grambo".

I'll educate you here.

About four years ago or so, a building Stallone, (all 5'4" of him,) was in had a fire on one end. Everyone was making their way down the stairwell and Sly started pushing WOMEN and CHILDREN out of the way to get out first.

Yes, you read that right.
It was in the New York Times and then Howard Stern, (love him or leave him,) relentlessly goofed on Stallone for weeks about it.

So that, and the fact that he doesn't want us to have guns but carries one himself.

I didn't know you were talking about the new one... Haven't seen it but wouldn't pay at the box office or otherwise to. He deseves no revenue from me.

I did, don't bother, especially now after what I've read here.

By the way, their "sniper" carries a bolt action 50 BMG, miles into the jungle, that strangley seems to shoot like a semi auto.

Gotta admit for a Brady lovin' draft dogin gun hater, he makes a lot of money carrying a gun. Hollywierd is SO forgiving.

I also love that sharpened leaf spring he uses in the new movie. I checked the price of the latest creation from Jimmy Lile, $1200 +.

He is a typical Hollywood hypocrite when it comes to the firearms issue.

The only thing about Rambo I ever liked was the original book written in the '60's, In it John Rambo uses a lever action .30-30. :D

I just watched half of the preview...

It starts out looking like they were going to actually try and hire decent story writers for this one to compensate for Stallone's poor acting, but then it just goes down the same Hollywood Action Movie Template (R).

Man, they could just paint a face on a piece of wood instead of Stallone.
The man can not act.

I won't see it.
I'd be underwhelemed.
