Nice kind of, but the bluing sorta looks like Uberti's early plumb jobs.

Ya think ? That one carries a 50% value deduction for the reblue & stock refinish, meaning the seller values a gennie @ $7K.
Two years ago, I personally watched a 98%-99% original condition .22 Short M73 change hands at a funshow for $10K. The buyer was elated to get it, at any price.
FWIW - When looking at guns like this, or in this class, please don't think "shooter", or "they usta cost XXX".
These are very desireable to serious (well-heeled) collectors.

I see your point, but it seems to me that the reblue and wood refinishing put this one in the "shooter" category.Pete44ru wrote:FWIW - When looking at guns like this, or in this class, please don't think "shooter", or "they usta cost XXX".

What about the wood? It does look like modern Winchester wood with uretan varnish.

JMO, and I agree that with most guns, a reblue & stock refinish would make it a shooter - but not that one, and possibly some others in the same class (an 1873 Winchester in .22 Short - unobtainium).
Please consider:
Not many Winchester 73's were made in .22
Not many of those "not many" survive today, 100-140 years later
If a survivor's been fired much at all - a likelyhood with a .22 - most probably the bore's "history", from the corrosive ammo of the day(s).

Re: I'd Love to have one...
Don't know how many Uberti made, but Cabela's a few years back had 73's in 22 lr and 22 mag stamped with their logo on the barrel. Should be some of those floating around .
Re: I'd Love to have one...
I swear that "somewhere on line" in the last week or so I saw a model 92 in 22 magnum advertised. I thought it was Rossi's web site. But I haven't been able to find it since. Am I drinkin' too much?? Anybody else seen 'em?
