Great job on a great looking rifle.

Wow. Impressive project.

There are lots of gun projects I've thought of, but they involve re-barrelling, and since I
  • a. don't like sending a gun off somewhere for who-knows-how-long,
    b. don't know any local gunsmiths I would trust to re-barrel and headspace a gun, and
    c. don't know how to do it myself, or have the equipment,
...those projects are in limbo. My OCD personality won't change enough to remedy a., and I don't know what it would take to convince me the local guys who've butchered a couple guns for me in the past have improved any. I suppose I could get a lathe and learn to use it, but that's just one more thing to spend too much money on, and I'm not much of a machinist, even from an amateur standpoint.

Maybe I'll have to stick with Savage bolt-actions and Ruger .22's, so I can do it all myself...
