Lander will probably flood again. Last year's Fire Convention got cancelled, and this year's is likely to get moved to Riverton if runoff hold true...

Just as well figure on changing your name to Oscar the grouch. Looks like cold and wet for the next week or so. More snow accumulation in the high country and more runoff coming down. Most of the drainages are gearing up for floods when the run off starts for real..

Last snowpack report I heard said most of the mountains were at 125% of normal. If it doesn't get too warm too fast, all should be well. It has been cold and wet. Not many wildflowers out yet. I'm thinking by summer (June 21) it should warm up nicely.

Northern reaches of the Platte are right at the banks. Suppose that they will have to release some excess from all the dams like they did last year and that will make it even worse. Drought or flood, can't remember seeing it in the middle.

They've got the Platte bank full to the Nebraska line, and they're supposed to start dumping 900cfs out of Greyrocks to make room for what they expect to come down the Laramie.... Going to be some basements turned into indoor pools this spring...

They're just mad cause you left em out in the cold all winter. You got the right idea. When I win the lottery  I'm gonna live up there from June to the end of November and in Texas from December till May. I can handle the cold-but that don't make me like it.

I don't remember either droughts or runoff floods when I lived in Lander from 77-86...
