OT: Help me remember old cowboy movie

Okay, I remember a movie when I was a little kid...or maybe a show where the town drunk wakes up and everyone has left the town because indians are going to attack...and he fights them off? Anyone have a name of the movie or show? Thanks in advance!

It was a short story by Louis Lamour, I don't recall the name of it. I don't know if it was made into a movie or tv show, but could have been.
