Winchesters and Ubertis at the range
It was an absolutely perfect weekend in Daytona Beach.
Cool and crisp...65 degrees and low humidity..clear skys
and a little breeze. Saturday morning I headed to the rifle range.
First time at the range with the Uberti 73 44-40, short rifle
Factory new 200 gr FNRP at 25 and 50 yards and then with
reloads 180 gr RNFP, 8.0 unique, Gun needs trigger work bad
Does anyone know where I can get info on doing trigger work
I would like to do it myself...we dont have many gunsmiths around here
its so bad....i bet its near 9 or 10 pounds...maybe more
Next up was the Uberti 73 in 45 colt 250 gr. RNFP, 7.5 unique
this gun also needs trigger work..
next up Winchester 94 44 mag. 240 gr SWC with 5.5 bullseye...these semi wad cutters shoot great in this rifle...National bullet Co.
and finally the winchester 92 in 38-40, 180 gr RNFP, Magnus Bullet Co., 8.0 unique
clearly my best shooter, not bad for a rifle made in 1926
I mostly use Space Coast Bullets and they are priced right
Sunday was equally a great day...went skeet shooting and shot
24 out of 25 and 21 out of 25 with an old Remington 870 pump...
Only got to shoot 2 round....because of a honey do list....But I cant complain...

Good post, thanks.
Yeah, my honey-do list kept me from a sporting clays outing, but at least the fence repairs are done.

Good shootin and good lookin levers there!
Contact nate on the triggers, he has a 92 CD, but I would get ahold of him and see what he says is best.

Slug your bore and find out what size bullet you should. My Uberti Carbine slugs .428 across the grooves. If you are shooting factory jacketed they are most likely .426". I shoot .429" hard cast in mine and it is a tack driver.
