If you try to save up the money you'll never make it, but if you put it on plastic you WILL pay it off.

What a great combination. To me, the "tropical" number ones are the best looking, and in 303 British...

If I didn't hate using plastic more than I love the 303Brit I would go for that one.

Great...the Cabela's in Reno has one too...just 2 hours away....I'm hearing the Siren Song....

I'm actually torn on this one. I've always wanted a sweet little #1, and in 303 to boot. But, I'm also considering one of the those Marlin 308 Express stainless lever guns for hunting in Alaska.....

hmmmmm.......

Aww, go for the number one in 303; Load it with 215 grainers and take it to Alaska!

I found those two through Guns International. I keep thinking about one of them, but the funds simply aren't there nor are they likely to appear anytime soon.

IOW someone buy them before I go crazy...

I'd like one as a companion to my No. 1 in .450-400.

Is that one of the ones with the Circassian Walnut?? If so then that rifle has been discounted a good bit from where they started. I was looking at one of the 30-40 Krag's they recently had. It was a good bit more the last time I looked. If they dropped the 30-40 I was looking at to $900 I might have to buy it. Tom.

Head0001: it is "discounted" to US $898.00 because it has been "lightly fired."

Wonder how many rounds that was??....

I see Cabela's is on top of their game, as usual: That's a Light Sporter, not a Tropical.

The Tropical models are for heavy-lifting, and the smallest Tropical is in .375 H&H.

Still, a very tempting little rifle. I'm a lefty, so the No.1s have great appeal for me.
