I had a friend email me and asked about when his newly acquired '94 Winchester was made. It is the new angle-eject model and the serial number is 6046XXX. The only thing I have on the '94 is THE WINCHESTER '94......THE FIRST 100 YEARS it was published in 1991 and does not have that information. A 1993 article from American Rifleman that I had stuck inside the front cover said that the 6,000,000 mark had been reached in 1992, but that is all the information that I can give him.
Can anyone tell me where to go to find that information or better yet, tell me approximately when the rifle was built? I figured if anyone could help me, this would be the place to go. Thanks.

This is the same as below, and all it will tell you is after 1982, unfortunately.

I got this from our own OD a couple years ago. I don't know of any AE list by serial number.
