I guess I can't figure this out. It keeps telling me the URL remote link is not valid. How do you do it right?

Is it too big? Check you're profile page for the size avatar allowed.

I think I remember something on the Photobucket.com site that will automatically resize a picture to Avatar size. Just make sure you have a
back up normal size for the pic.

Also, it's not the same link as for posting pictures on the site.

The second one from the top "Direct Link" is the one to use for an avatar.

Are you using the right code, it should look like this
[ IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v455/ ... das_15.jpg[ /IMG]
note that I've left a space at the start of the img and /img brackets so it prints for you to read instead of posting.
Jeep might be right, but I'm pretty sure I used the image code when I set mine up.
As already mentioned check your pic size, too big and it wont post.
