Thanks pard, we made a few of them this morn and will give a couple to a friends kids.
Sometimes they would roll them with a short stick like in the old picture below.

Thanks bro, we had some green oak boards we just sawed out so ripped off some thin strips on the table saw and bent them around a 50 gal. drum.
The bigger one i just bent by hand, glued and nailed the joints with small tacks.
