Post by Marc »

This one ought to bring a pretty penny! Scroll down below the auction bill to read some history of the rifle and the Dalton's.

Very neat Winchester. Hits close to home on a couple of levels. My Grand Dad's family Was friends with the Dalton's back in eastern OK. By 1936 they moved out to Pixley, CA(Tulare Co.)where one of these robberies was alleged to have taken place. It was a pretty big deal and still talked about in that small town. We lived in Visalia for a number of years.

I have an xray of the gun hand of a descendant of one of the Dalton boys.

Seems like that gun should belong to a member of the Dalton family if there are still living descendants and one of them didn't sell it off.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
