I am interested, just don't know how many days of vacation I can use. Will run it by some others, Son-in-law in Austin, might try to get him to come along. Drop wife off with daughter to see grandson, and he and I can skip down to Hondo.

Will check with Bosco, and a few others.

Joe will show you a good time in Hondo, he is a great guide & good company as well. I wish I could get there for this, we had such I good time in Hondo last year. It is just a bit far to go from Australia for the weekend. Can't wait to get back there next year, we are counting the days.

Not enough lead time for me to get the vacation days to take that weekend off. I work that weekend, and must give notice of vacation about 3 months in advance. Every other weekend off sometimes makes life difficult.

I could move this to Aug 23-25 if that helps the majority.

If that helps the majority, I will be in on that date. Don't let me ruin things if the first date works out better for everyone else. If the second date works out better, then count me in. I'll even drop the money off at your house between now and then if you wish.

Wish I could go, but that is my weekend to work. When do you want me to drop off the box of .22?

I'm in. I'll bring the chronograph too so people can see what they are REALLY achieving when they pull the trigger.

I'm also on a quest. Upon the passing of my uncle, I received (now get this) a semi-sporterized Carcano, chambered in 6.5 Arasaka. Turns out that the Arasaka factory was too busy too make rifles, so the Japanese gov't contracted with the Italians for rifles in 6.5 Arasaka. This rifle has sat in a closet since the mid 50's.
Anyway, I picked up a fresh box of Hornady Custom 140 soft points. So I need to do my part, and have a picture with me, the rifle, and some free range organic food. My cousin will enjoy a picture like that. And if she doesn't, her husband and son will!

Well, 86er,...wish I could say I will join you folks this year. We have the farm up for sale and am hoping I'll too busy around that time loading up all my belongings and hitting the road to my next home ...and final chapter in my life. Seriously looking at North Texas to be closer to my son and his family. If if works out that way, I'll be looking for opportunities to dust off some of my rifles and joining you fellers on a few of these adventures y'all come up with.

For the auction, I have some .300 H&H Magnum and .300 Weatherby brass I will contribute. Have to dig it out of storage and will need to know where and how to get it to you. Let me know how this works if you will. Thanks

I am interested as we need more hog breakfast sausage and Troupe needs to shoot something other than clay pigeons. I will check schedule and get back to you. :)

PS Can we go to the Outback in D' Hanis for steaks and country music on Saturday night?

OK, Troupe and I are in for a hog and an Axis doe. Put on your thinking cap and come up with a price to add a second hog so we can have Po Boys make some more Grandkid sausage.
He will use his 7mm-08 and I my .405 WCF. If you want to pounce a porker and slit its throat, I can bring down my birthday Bowie knife!

Man, I'd bite on this in a minute if I wasn't on vacation right now. Bad timing on my part, I guess.

I'm picking up a lamb from Po' Boys tomorrow, but I surely do need some pork and another beast of some flavor in the freezer.

Love to get a cow Red Deer or Elk.

Maybe in the fall...

Fred,
Here is a good deal for you since you can not get away for the hunt - You pay for the red deer and and hog Troupe will shoot them for you, Joe will have them cleaned and quartered, and I will bring the meat back to you in a free Yeti cooler(s); I could even deliver it to Po Boys for you. Such a deal and it is not even Christmas! :o

Charles, It's a deal.

Looking for a Red Deer cow and (hopefully) a sow around or under 150lbs.

Joe, when you get a minute drop me a note about the cost of the animals and I'll get it straight to you.

OK Fred. When discussing price, be sure to remind Joe that you will not be there eating the food or taking up space in a bedroom.

I would love to go but have burned up too much vacation time this year. If you think you will be doing something similar next year I'd like to know.
