Cute little chick and her friends

Post by Don McDowell »

 Getting ready to go to the first ever Wyoming State 22 bpcr championship match down in Cheyenne. I bought a couple sets of the sillouettes and we've got the feet welded on everything but the rams. This morning I cobbled up some swingers so I can get some practice time in.

I can see somebody has been pinging that ram.

No not yet, that's just arc spots from welding the swinger arm on him.
The buffalo, now those poor buggers have had the snot shot out of em. I need to get them up on swingers, the little ones fall over real easy with a 22, and none of them will take a hit from a 45 colt and keep standing..

Don it doesn't look like you have had the rain that we have had up here in the north east part. The grass around here is 3-4 feet tall. All the ranchers are walking around with smiles on their faces after last year. Hay is still around 190 - 200 a ton.

Nope it's gawd awful dry here again this year. That pasture in the pictures hasn't had anything except the occasional antelope or deer on it for over 60 days..

Yup those 22 bpcr sillouettes are a hoot.

I thought I felt a drop of rain, but it may have been sweat dropping out of my hat...
Saw some showers went by to the north, and of course the big dark cloud that's apparently trying to wash Chugwater clean of all it's sins..

first time I ever saw warthog silhouettes.

By the way, what do they shoot in other countries? Kangaroo silhouettes, etc?

I'm looking forward to hearing your report on the outcome of that .22 BPCR match!

We shoot a little .22 BPCR at Hat Creek Rifle & Pistol Club. Targets are 2/5 scale. The guys shooting Crosno .22 Long Rifle liners in their big bore scoped rifles shoot in the high twenties. I shoot a Cimarron Low Wall .22 Long Rifle with a vernier tang sight, and am lucky to shoot in the high 'teens. It is a fun but challenging sport!

Shasta I'll be shooting my CSA 75 with the crossno liner and the leatherwood Malcolm scope in DZ mounts. My wife will be shooting the lowall.
If you look at the buffalo with the ram, those bullet marks were with the CSA crossno combo.

Nope not a winder. Just one of the Winchester/Miroku's, thing shoots like a lazer with about any ammo you feed it.
