This happened in the Mato Grosso. Operators got the blame.

I've seen concrete trucks get stuck. The wrecker drivers that came after them would never dead man to another truck because they knew it would bend the wrecker frame.

Well there's about $80K down the toilet! That tractor looks like it was built like my old Massey Furgeson, with no real frame, the transmission and Tcase ARE the frame. I didn't see any frame members there, but looked like broken drive train member.

Well now they have TWO pieces of heavy equip to move.

Bet that farmer wishes he'd called a tow truck now. That $1000 tow bill doesn't seem too large now.

We had a AT&T truck get stuck here at my place. One with the boom on it. Buried above the pumpkin. Tow truck couldn't budge it. Finally, they jacked it up enough to slip some boards under tires, and he anchored the tow truck to my twin 40" diameter Eucalyptus trees. He hooked the cable to the AT&T truck, and was able to pull it out that way. I had some HUGE holes to fill when he left.

Have had 3 trucks get stuck here, AT&T, propane, and roof shingle delivery truck. Warned all three of them, do NOT get off the decomposed granite driveway (6" compacted). SO much for warnings.

Nope, the modern tractor has no frame. There's been many instances where unscrupulous bolt suppliers provide fake grade 8 bolts to factories. There's a bunch of bolts around that engine/trans junction... not just four or five like your car or p/u! I've broke chains pulling stuck vehicles outta mud. I used to use a ship's hawser, about 1" diameter. Never broke, but would it stretch!

Somebody told me they hooked up the tractors by the counterweights.

"Y'know Red, these new tractors they're making are kinda brittle"

I've never had to get anything but pickups un-stuck, but I learned early on that just a little bit of digging was worth an awful lot of pulling.

I have been stuck before, too. Out in SouthWest Kansas it is all sand. A little digging sure made it easier to get out, and I was told to keep a shovel in my trunk.

As a teenager, I stuck my Grandpa's John Deere 620 in the backyard. That took an awful lot of digging to get out.

Yeah, that was ballsy, crossing over that bridge.

Thought this was too, though it may not be that big of a deal to an experienced operator.

When you get a 4 wheel drive John Deere with dual tires on each corner stuck in the mud, then you have really done some damage. I have seen it once.

This is the way I would do it ----- I would pop some boner pills, then just get my horses out of the trailer and let them pull me out of the mud, just like this handsome 47 year old "cowboy" with erectile problems does !!

This is the age of making things happen !

You guys are missing out! When I used to drive truck for a living I had the luck to haul tank retrievers a couple times. Now think about what I just said...when you get your ARMY TANK stuck so bad that another TANK can't get it out they send in these bad boys. The term heavy duty doesn't quite cover it but a very impressive piece of machinery.
