SOLD - BROWNING 1886 CARBINE in AS NEW CONDITION - SOLD

Post by DennisB »

Selling one of my Browning 86 carbines. I believe it’s unfired. I bought this one about 12 years ago and I know I never fired it. It is in AS NEW condition....can’t even find any safe marks on it. These Browning 86s are some of the nicest factory built guns ever...IMO. No box. Your dealer must accept this gun from an individual.
$950 + shipping.

Very nice. No rebounding hammer and no tang safety. Good to go.

Dennis,

I'm interested in this 1886 carbine but I see that you have mentioned a dealer must accept this from you, an individual. Would you have a way to have an FFL dealer near you ship it? I would pay a reasonable fee in addition to the other costs. Email me if you would.

Thanks!

As far as trades go......I really need to raise the cash on this one. The only thing that would tempt me would be a Winchester Trapper 9422 or 9422M.

Shipping from a dealer.....I have a local dealer that receives guns for me all the time and at a very reasonable price but he doesn't like to ship them. I did reacently have him ship a handgun and it didn't go at all well....no need to go into details. No one else locally I can use so for now it will have to come from me.

There should not be any problem with Dennis going down to UPS and shipping the gun to the receiving FFL himself. I have done this with forum members here and elsewhere, they dont even require the receiving FFL's paperwork anymore. Perhaps NE has some laws I don't know about, or some dealers won't receive them? Just curious.

You are correct on the shipping---I can ship to an FFL in another state. It's my understanding that some states require it be shipped from FFL to FFL, CA I'm told is one of them. Don't know.

Having said that.....PLEASE lets not turn this into one of those endless "can and can't do" in regards to shipping.

ONE'S DEALER MUST ACCEPT THIS GUN DIRECTLY FROM ME IN ORDER TO BUY. Also, I can ship directly (in state) to a buyer that is a Nebraska resident.

Never heard of that rule, Dennis. Most of the restrictions pertain to handguns and any "concealable" weapon. As far I know, rifles and shotguns may be sent by any out of state party to an FFL holder in the state of CA.

I have not been able to find a dealer in my area that will do transfers from an individual or I would have been all over this rifle. If anyone knows of one like this I have been looking for about three months now trying to buy one for under one thousand. This was the second one this week I missed out on. RichP

This one's sold.

Those of you that wanted to buy this but couldn’t find a dealer that would accept delivery from an individual, I am sorry. I just don’t have a good way to ship from a dealer at this time.
