The Canadian Guy Finally Came Through

Post by Blaine »

About a month ago, you might remember that I was worried about a motorcycle deal. He finally showed up with his trailer, and 7,000 cash. His bank check was good, and the Credit Union checked all the hundreds he had.....I have been more than a little stressed about this, and, it finally turned out ok. :D
If you were holding good thoughts about this, thanks for your support. 8)

When you don't trust someone, and they prove themselves 'trustworthy', it can be a bit humbling, but it never quite makes up for the ones who you DO trust, who burn you.

Just had a former co-worker/employee burn me for $12,000, and after spending $2,000, found out that if I spend another $5,000, I might "have a chance" to recoup the money.

Well it all worked out. Selling and buying is always a risk.

Ouch! Spend $7k to not likely get your $12k back is really a no win deal. Now remember, just do it yourself. That way there are no witnesses to talk about it later.

At the end of the day, you'll find most people are honest & trustworthy.
Like with everything else, it's that few out there that make so you can't be a trusting person.

I had second thoughts about the title to this thread. I hope you know that I was not "down" on Canadians. He just happened to be from Canada, is all. :) No matter who it is, one must be very careful using Craigs list. I don't care for open carry, but, I will when meeting a stranger for a deal.

Ya have to be careful around Mescalero, too.....Pretty shifty Dude, he is  :o :D

No offense taken or suspected! I love seeing any Canada reference on American forums. I remembered your earlier thread and happy you closed the deal. It is nice when an expensive item moves on when needed.

One thing about being Canadian, we got a pretty good rep generally. We earned it! It is quite a pleasure when American comedians usually only make fun of our good manners and friendly nature.

As far as that Mescalero character goes. I'm not sure if he is to be associated with a cactus based drug or a Mexican outlaw. Or as my grandma would say," keep both eyes on that one" , officially just kidding.
