Oh my Lord, what a beautiful picture!

Beautiful photo. That is some serious depth of field you got there for what looks like a standard focal length.

A few days ago, I was up on the mountain when the wind suddenly swung around and came in hard and cold off the Bering Sea. I knew then that winter was coming fast. Since then, even on sunny days now, the mornings are cold and windy, and most days are rain and wind now.

The sea birds are flocking up and there are geese everywhere.

Almost none. I think I cropped on edge a little.

I'm not much of a photographer - I lack training and knowledge. But I just got a new camera (it came yesterday) because I have been tasked to do som firearm youtube videos every month, and I did not have a good video camera. I ended up getting a newer Sony DSLR camera, since I have been using an older one for several years now, and it turns out the new ones do really good video, too. I just took it out tonight for the first time and took both stills and video of the musk oxen, and I am pretty impressed with it. If only I had the skills to really take advantage of it - I just don't have time to really learn photography.

You aren't kidding. It's funny how you can step off a plane in Alaska and the air smells so clean and good.
