To me it was a good read & made better by the fact that I own two Henry rifles
and it was written by a Lever Gun Guy ya kind of know!

There are things about the centerfire Henrys that I really don't care for, and I prefer a Winchester design over them. I am a little annoyed by their advertising claiming that they were founded by Henry himself. If they had loading gates, I would be much more likely to own one.

But I admire their commitment to producing rifles in the US. If they can build a quality rifle in the US, so could other manufacturers, if they really wanted to.

I also really like their rimfires.

I have done action work on several of the Big Boys. They are really well made. So, I bought one of the 22 cal Lever Action Octagon Rifles for myself.

Neat little gun with some forward weight to stead up nicely.
