Just got an e-mail that the Tom of the Tom and Ray team has passed away at 77 years of age.

Sad day. Tom was lucky to have Alzheimer's take him in just two years. It took 12 years for it to kill my mom.
RIP sir. You made me laugh.

They both sounded young.
His obituary from their website - http://www.cartalk.com/blogs/staff-blog/tom-magliozzi-1937-2014
So, was Tom 'Click' or 'Clack'...???

Sad news. They've been off for a while though, just playing old shows.
Slow is just slow.

Ray says they will keep playing archival shows as long as people will listen to them. I predict that will be a while.

I would love it if Ray got himself a new young partner.Pisgah wrote:Ray says they will keep playing archival shows as long as people will listen to them. I predict that will be a while.
Reminds me of the 'GunCranks' videos on YouTube - good information in an entertaining format.

I heard on the radio this morning that this coming Sat. it will be a new show with Ray going over highlights of their shows together.
I listen to the show as a podcast using the TUNEIN app on my Android phone. They have all the older shows archived there as well.
